How the AI SMC Analyzer works

Not a black box. The AI follows the exact Smart Money Concepts methodology Cedric and Julien use daily on their own trades, compressed into a vision model that reads your screenshot and returns 9 weighted confluence criteria.

The 9 weighted confluence criteria

The confluence score (0-100) the AI returns isn't a random number. It aggregates 9 criteria that institutional desks themselves use to validate an opportunity:

1

Wyckoff phase

Accumulation, manipulation, expansion, distribution or retracement. An entry in accumulation phase carries 4× better risk/reward than an entry in distribution.

2

Structure (BOS/CHoCH)

Break of Structure to confirm trend, Change of Character to anticipate a reversal. HTF alignment counts triple.

3

Tested vs untested Order Block

An untested OB has 67% chance of being respected on first retest. An OB already tested 2+ times loses all value.

4

Fair Value Gap (FVG)

Imbalance left by institutional algos. Unfilled FVGs act as price magnets. 3 consecutive candles with no overlap.

5

Premium / Discount zone

Buy in discount (below 50% of range), sell in premium (above). Position within range heavily weights the score.

6

External liquidity (BSL/SSL)

Visible Equal Highs/Lows = institutional liquidity targets. Price almost always sweeps these zones before the real move.

7

Time-based Killzone

Asia Killzone (00h-04h UTC), London Killzone (07h-10h), NY Killzone (12h-15h). 78% of active Order Blocks form within these windows.

8

Sentiment & volatility

Trader sentiment (extreme_fear → extreme_greed) + volatility state (compressed, normal, expanded). The most profitable setups appear in compressed volatility + extreme sentiment.

9

Higher Timeframe context

An H1 entry against Daily trend is statistically losing. The AI infers HTF context from the chart and uses it to either validate or penalize the setup.

6 advanced ICT concepts detected

Beyond basic Order Blocks and FVGs, the AI recognizes ICT (Inner Circle Trader) concepts that separate a beginner from an institutional trader:

  • Mitigation Block — an OB that didn't validate its initial move and now serves as a mitigation zone for a reversal.
  • Breaker Block — a broken Order Block that inverts into support/resistance in the other direction. Powerful in trend continuation.
  • Liquidity Void — inefficient price gap left by a vertical move. Price almost systematically returns to partially fill it.
  • OTE Zone (Optimal Trade Entry) — the 62-79% Fibonacci zone of the last swing. Statistically best risk/reward on a pullback.
  • Killzone — automatic detection of chart time to identify active session (Asia, London, NY) and weight setups accordingly.
  • Premium/Discount — automatic split of current range into 3 zones (premium 50-100%, discount 0-50%, equilibrium ~50%) for optimal entry positioning.

The hypothetical trade plan generated

At analysis output, the AI produces a structured trade plan with all the parameters a pro trader would log in their journal. Not blind copy-trading — a starting point you validate or reject with your own bias:

  • Direction: long, short or no-trade (based on confluence score)
  • Optimal entry: precise SMC-justified level (OB retest, FVG fill, OTE zone)
  • Stop loss: logical invalidation of the SMC thesis (below OB, beyond swing)
  • 3 take-profits with computed R/R: TP1 (1:1, secure), TP2 (1:2.5, median target), TP3 (1:5+, final run)
  • Position sizing: computed via the institutional 1% rule. The AI gives you the unit quantity based on your declared capital.
  • Bullish vs bearish scenario probabilities: percentages based on the 9-criteria confluence, helping you dimension confidence.
  • Institutional narrative 250-350 words: the "why" behind the setup, written like a prop firm research note.

Trader workflow

  1. Screenshot your chart on TradingView, Binance, Bybit, OKX, or your usual exchange. Ideally include the daily or H4 context visible in the screenshot so the AI can infer HTF.
  2. Upload the PNG/JPG into the analyzer. The file passes through a serverless endpoint that processes it on the fly — no persistence.
  3. Get the analysis in ~10 seconds with score, identified OB/FVG, complete trade plan, and SMC narrative.
  4. Cross-reference with your bias: if you're already long and the AI says "short", challenge your thesis. If the AI confirms your bias with score > 70/100, the entry is probably solid.
  5. Keep a record in your trade plan template to measure your edge over time.

Known limitations

  • The AI doesn't read fundamental context (news, macro, on-chain). If the Fed announces a rate hike in 2 hours, the AI doesn't know — it's on you to factor it in.
  • Charts zoomed too tight (fewer than 30 candles visible) yield incomplete analyses. The AI ideally wants 60-200 candles to identify HTF structure.
  • Charts with excessive annotations (drawings, stacked indicators) can confuse the vision model. Prefer a clean chart with just candles + one key indicator max.
  • The trade plan is hypothetical. No return guarantee. The market can invalidate the thesis anytime via an unforeseen event.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free AI tool to analyze a crypto chart with Smart Money Concepts?

SMC AI Analyzer by Investisseur 2.0 is a free AI tool that reads a crypto chart screenshot and returns a Smart Money Concepts analysis — order blocks, fair value gaps (FVG), break of structure (BOS), change of character (CHoCH) and liquidity zones — plus a trade plan with entry, stop loss and three take-profit targets. It runs in about 10 seconds, requires no signup and no credit card, and gives 3 free analyses per day. It works on TradingView, Binance, Bybit and OKX screenshots across crypto, forex, stocks and indices.

Is the AI SMC Analyzer really free?

Yes, 100% free. 3 analyses per day with no sign-up, no credit card, no email. The quota resets at midnight UTC. Referrals from our partner exchanges (XT, Pionex, BingX, MEXC) get extended quotas in the VIP channel.

Which exchanges are supported for screenshots?

TradingView (desktop and mobile), Binance, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase, KuCoin, XT, Pionex, BingX, MEXC, Kraken. All UI themes (dark/light) supported. The AI automatically detects the source to calibrate price reading.

Which assets does the AI work on?

Multi-asset: crypto (BTC, ETH, SOL, and 600+ alts), forex (EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY...), stocks (Tesla, Apple, Nvidia...), indices (SPX, NDX, DAX). The Smart Money Concepts methodology is universal because institutional algorithms that produce Order Blocks and FVGs operate everywhere.

Which timeframes are most reliable?

From 5m to 1W. Best results on H1, H4 and Daily — that's where institutional Order Blocks are cleanest. Below 15m, noise increases: useful for precise entries but always confirm with a higher timeframe.

Should I follow the AI signals blindly?

No. The generated hypothetical trade plan is a starting point, not a buy order. You must cross-reference with your risk management (1% max per trade), macro context, and your own bias. The AI is an assistant that compresses 30 minutes of manual analysis into 10 seconds, not an oracle. Every final decision is yours.

How does the AI detect an Order Block?

An Order Block is the last opposite-direction candle before an impulsive move that breaks market structure. The AI scans the chart for bullish candles followed by an impulsive dump (bearish OB) or bearish candles followed by an impulsive pump (bullish OB). It then weights by: impulsive move amplitude, associated FVG, HTF alignment, tested/untested status. A 0-100 confidence score is returned.

How does this compare to TradingView Smart Money / paid tools?

Smart Money indicators on TradingView (LuxAlgo, etc.) detect patterns mechanically: every swing high/low becomes a potential OB. The Investisseur 2.0 AI filters by confluence: an OB is only returned if it combines multiple criteria (impulsive amplitude, FVG, BOS, HTF alignment). Result: 3-5 OBs per chart instead of 30-50, focused on those that actually matter. Plus the AI delivers a complete trade plan, not just colored zones.

Are my screenshots stored?

No. Images are sent to a serverless endpoint (Supabase Edge Function), analyzed by a vision model (GPT-4o or Claude), and the response is returned immediately. No image is persisted in any database. No watermark is added. You can safely upload confidential charts.
