PU Prime review 2026: cheap leverage, offshore reality, tested honestly
PU Prime (formerly Pacific Union) sells an easy pitch: low minimum deposit, 1:1000 leverage, MT4/MT5 and copy trading. The technical side is fine. The part most affiliate reviews bury is the regulatory one: an offshore framework, an FCA warning and an AMF blacklisting. We put both halves on the table so you can decide with full information.
Quick verdict
PU Prime scores 3.3/5. As a piece of trading software it's perfectly capable: low entry cost, MT4/MT5, high leverage and PU Social for copy trading. What pulls the score down isn't the platform, it's the framework. You're looking at an offshore, multi-entity setup led by the Seychelles, plus an FCA public warning and an AMF blacklisting of its French domains. If a regulated safety net matters to you, a CySEC-tier broker like Axi is a different category.
Regulation: read this before the spreads
PU Prime runs as a trademark across several licensed entities. The core is Seychelles FSA (SD050), with Mauritius FSC, South Africa FSCA, an ASIC entity (restricted to Australian/professional clients), and a newer UAE CMA permission limited to introduction and promotion. Notice what's missing: no active EU-passported licence. Most international clients are onboarded under the offshore Seychelles entity, outside any EU framework.
Three flags you should not skip. The UK FCA issued a public warning against PU Prime / Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited in May 2023, naming several puprime domains. France's AMF blacklisted PU Prime domains (fr.puprime.online, fr.puprime.net) for offering investment services without authorisation. And in July 2025 the Philippines SEC published an advisory against PU Prime's offshore entity for soliciting Filipino investors without the required local licence. You'll also see a "CySEC 427/23" claim in some third-party reviews. It's unverified at the primary source and contradicted by the AMF blacklisting, so don't treat it as an active EU licence.
Accounts and fees
The lineup is built for low barriers to entry. There's a Cent account from about $20 (balance shown in cents, beginner-oriented), Standard from about $50 (costs inside the spread, no commission), Prime from $1,000 (tight spreads plus $3.50/lot/side) and ECN from $10,000 (raw spreads plus $1.50/lot/side). Islamic swap-free variants exist. EUR/USD sits around 1.3 pip on Standard, from 0.0 pip on Prime/ECN. No house deposit or inactivity fee is advertised, though payment providers may charge their own.
Platforms and copy trading
Standard fare done competently: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, WebTrader and a proprietary mobile app. PU Social (launched 2022) handles copy and social trading, with a copy account from around $25. There's nothing exotic here like cTrader, but the toolkit covers what most traders actually use.

Leverage and instruments
Leverage runs up to 1:1000 on forex and metals, with lower caps on indices (1:500), crypto (1:333) and shares (~1:33). That 1:1000 headline is the offshore signature, far above any EU retail limit and more rope than most accounts survive. The catalogue covers 1,000+ CFD instruments: forex, indices, commodities, shares, ETFs, bonds and crypto CFDs.
Who it's for
PU Prime can make sense for an experienced trader in a jurisdiction it can legally serve, who wants a low entry cost and high leverage and fully understands the offshore trade-off. It does notmake sense if you're in the EU or UK looking for a protected, regulated home for your capital. The FCA warning and AMF blacklisting are there for a reason. If that's you, start with Axi (CySEC) or BlackBull instead.
How to open an account
If PU Prime is right for your situation, sign-up is through our official PU Prime link, with a standard KYC check. Confirm first that the broker can legally serve your country of residence. Then start small, keep risk per position under 1%, and run every entry through our risk calculator.
The link above is an affiliate link. CFDs can burn through a deposit fast; between 74% and 89% of retail accounts lose money, and PU Prime's offshore setup offers little recourse if things go wrong.
FAQ
Is PU Prime regulated?
By Seychelles FSA (SD050), Mauritius FSC and FSCA. All offshore, none EU-passported. There's an FCA warning (2023), an AMF blacklisting and a Philippines SEC advisory (2025) against it, so treat any CySEC claim as unverified.
What leverage and minimum deposit?
Up to 1:1000 on the offshore entity; Cent account from ~$20, Standard from ~$50, Prime $1,000, ECN $10,000.
Does it offer copy trading?
Yes, via PU Social, with a copy account from ~$25. Sort lead traders by drawdown and track record, not short-term performance.
Disclaimer. CFD trading carries a high risk of rapid capital loss due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money. PU Prime is not authorised in the EU/UK and is subject to an FCA warning, an AMF blacklisting and a Philippines SEC advisory; verify it can legally serve your country before opening an account.
